Last May, there was a fashion activity jointly sponsored by Kate Zhou Handbags and Rebecca Mincoff, that was to collect designing ideas from the broad fashionable beauties who love handbags so much, and then have Rebacca Mincoff design a limited edition hadbag for Chinese market.

And two months later, dozens of designing ideas have been received by them. Almost all the Chinese elements are involved in their works, for example, phoenix coronet, jade hairpin, plum blossom, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum. Some of them sent the pictures used to inspire the ideas, and some sent the design sketches drawn by themselves.

After the collation, all the works have transferred to Rebecca. She was shocked by those Chinese girls, and among so many pieces of wonderful designs, she felt difficult to accept or reject on two. One is the Chinese paper cut “fu”(means lucky), and the other is the Chinese doll wearing Chinese gown. Since this is the difficult choice, Rebecca decided to design two limited editions.

The Chinese paper cut “fu” contains auspicious meaning, and its form is meticulous and exquisite, which fits in well with the soft lines of MAB. To take a closer look, the golden pattern has been added the designing inspiration from Rebecca. Moreover, the cute little bird pattern has also brought a smart and lovely flavour into the Chinese classic charm.
